Talk to me....

So the election is over and today I'm back to wandering...unfocused...drifting...
I really need to talk to someone about the Lord...speaking Him outloud makes Him more alive in me...stirs my spirit...lifts me to places I can't get to on my own....the bounding and rebounding of Him shared together in the spirits of the saints.... it gives Him volume and texture...makes Him more vivid.... you know all that, right?
Well, there's no one around I can talk outloud to.....Sooo....
How 'bout you?... yeah you,...help a sister out...
Tell me about your Lord...tell me what you really know of Him...deep down in the immovable places of your spirit....(I like that word, immovable, in relation to His work in me, don't you?)
Don't tell me what He's gonna do...what He is capable of.... or what your pastor says about Him...
Tell me what YOU personally know of Him....
by experience (key word here) ...
not what you have heard but what you have handled of the Word of Life.
Who Is This Lord to you??
Maybe this is a place we can meet and share Him together...in spirit...
and though its not "outloud"...perhaps it will suffice....

I would love to talk about my Lord. Jesus, Redeemer and King. He is truth. He is love. He is justice. He is above all and beyond all I can imagine or dream of. He is righteous. He is creative. He is mighty. He is holy...and now I must go...b/c my heart just wants to worship Him!

For what my pastor says about Him, check out www.livingthejourney.net

thanks for the focus!

I blogged about seeing Him in everything......

He is what I desire...the following of Him and it is surprising me.....it is lonely and yet exhilerating.....it is challenging and yet in the challenge I get a sense of more peace than I ever experienced in my life....He is LOVE and while I feel it now I am coming to know when I don't I can still CHOOSE it...to love.....and go into HIS love.....

We are not of this world, we are of Jesus Christ. We belong to Him and were created by Him long, long ago. Ancient beings. Loved and desired by Him. Being built into His home. All that we are is in Him and comes from Him. Every breath is Him. Every sound is Him. Every aroma is Him. Every site is Him and every touch is Him. He is in us and all around us. There is nowhere we can go that He is not there with us. We are never without our loving Lord. He's around every corner. He's in every swallow of food and drink. Our Lord is amazing, sister! We wear His name. Every whisper says, "Turn to me". Every giggle says, "Iam". All of creation crys His name... Jesus! Waiting and longing to see more of Him. He says, "Let go of your mind and fall into my arms. I will catch you. I am your pillow. Your soft landing. Follow your heart. Lift me up. I love you. There is nothing you need do to earn my love. I love you because you are who you are."

Wow...this is a tough one to nail down since the Lord is everything to me...He's my Rock when I need one to stand on, my Comforter, My Redeemer, without Him I am nothing, I am dead...with Him I'm alive.

I love the song by BarlowGirl right now called "Never Alone" cause even in those times when I may not seem to feel Him there He IS there...always watching over me.
He's my best friend. Thanks...I feel uplifted now :-)

I like this idea. All I know right now is that Jesus is the restraining (and keeping) power in my life. Times have come when I felt like literally jumping off the bridge, or taking all my pills--and He whispered life into my soul.

He lifts my spirit when everything else has fallen apart---and He does this over and over again. Believe me, things are not always as they appear in people's lives...but underneath are the Everlasting Arms.

Driveby hugs!!!

i love it, kindred spirit, asking for EXPERIENCE! can't have a relationship without that, can we? and i like u askin not about what He is gonna do, but who HE IS TODAY! today He has spoken His love to me personally. He sees who i am, and knows my dark places. my dark spots that i'm ashamed of and want to hide. and HE LOVES me. and says He loves me and I delight His heart. and He is helping me. and training me. and i don't need to fear. He is actually saying these things to me right now as i type. :) let's have more discussions like these!!!! :)

While driving around recently, thinking of the ways of the Lord in me (and sighing and crying,)I heard him say, "I am your way. You are my way."
I love you Cheryl.

One example of many that I have experienced this week happened just this afternoon...after being extremely disappointed in two of my students that I caught cheating on an exam, I had a student (not one of the ones that cheated) come in my office and comfort me with the Word of God...quite unusual in a college environment...yet, it was just what I needed to hear...that Satan pulls us into these valleys but God's light will lead the way out and what really touched my heart was when she said "God's light shines through you"....that's how I experience my God...in the everyday....through ordinary people. Thanks Cheryl for making a place where I can share this.

Three in one! my shelter, my comfort, my love! He's spoken to me, i've spoken to him. He is my friend.

He is my friend. He is my provider my compass when I get lost. He is the lover of my soul. He is living water when I"m thirsty. He is the breath I breathe and the song in my heart. He is my comfort when I'm comfortless and my joy unspeakable. He is my all and all. He is beyond my words, nothing is adequate to express how much I love Him but more then that, how much He loves me...and you.

I'm experiencing long ago answered prayer; a gentle hand upon my shoulder each day; the comfort of a warm home during the winter.

I'm not a religious man, but to me, I get an enormous amount of comfort when I pray at night. Not every night, and sometimes not for weeks, but every once in a while I let him know that I'm doing my best, and would he keep my children safe. I believe he listens, and despite my lack of worship, he understands.
