Fall at home

In between the rain we have had some glorious weather in the deep South this year and some lovely foliage. Its about to be gone but here are a couple of pics from Shoals Creek in my home town. No wonder I love the Fall so much if this is what I grew up on!

Now on to Thanksgiving and Christmas......

Dear Cheryl,
Shawls creek must be a wonderful
place, an American Shangri-La.
No wonder you love this place and is attached to it.
Beautiful shades of red and golden and the flood running peacefully through the landscape. Must be lots of birds and animals around this rich place.

I wish Fall was twice as long and Winter, half as short. Have loved seen gorgeous photos from all ovet the country but you make a good point. Time to move on.
Look forward to those Thanksgiving and Christmas photos. Have had the Christmas music going since the day after Halloween. Beautiful, my friend...

Fall has always been my favorite season. We have had more rain than normal here in North Texas and as a result we are having a more colorful Fall! I am trying to get caught up with everyone and it's taking me a while.

I am taking down all of my Halloween and Fall decor this weekend and starting on Christmas. We are having our oldest daughter and family down for T-giving and I want the house decorated (except for the tree) for when they're here. Not to mention that we leave Dec 17th for our Christmas in Y-stone trip and I won't be here for 10 days to enjoy it either. We'll get back dec 28th and that evening we have Brenda and Charlie with their family coming down for a few days! Lots to do!

If only it could last longer..that's the only "fault" I can find with this beautiful season.

I do love fall the best...well, maybe! Spring is always refreshing after the cold and "ick" of winter.

Awesome photos!

Thanks for your comments on Facebook.

dear jada gigi..this is every bit as pretty as southern ontario.
in fact, if i didn't know, i would think that it is where you are.
i love the fall colours too but they sure don't seem to last long enough!
just so wonderful that the lord gave man the knowledge to invent cameras...i know that scenes like this can be painted but there are so few artists and this, that you have photographed is a perfect scene painted by the lord himself....perfect!..love terry
