From crazy to quiet

So we've had a fun week with my son and his girlfriend visiting from FL. Lots of home cooking and relaxing was just what the doctor ordered for them. We also got a day in the mountains which turned out to be very nice. Last nite the band arrived from all over to converge at my door for grilled pork chops and loading the gaziillion T-shirts that also arrived yesterday, onto the humongo luxury tour bus booked for the band to travel on the Warped Tour this summer for several weeks. They took off about midnight, play ATL today and on to FL tomorrow. Check out who's on the front page of the Life Style section of the AJC today...:)

Here's a pic of son and girlfriend in a more relaxed mode up in the GA mountains over the weekend.

Today my daughter and my mom depart for Jax for a few days so it'll be VERY quiet in my house tonight...hey...could be just what the doctor ordered....:)

we wanted to go to that, i think it's in Detroit at the end of hte month. tell your son if he wants a home cooked meal while him and his bandmates are in town, I seriously would love to have them over!! Seriously! I mean it! It says in John 21:17, feed my sheep.

How cool is that! Ok, am betting that the quiet may make you crazy. I still miss having all that action around. Good thing I have the gkids to liven it up a bit. Enjoy the quiet and enjoy the party of two!

The noise of family and friends is always a bit crazy, but good for the soul.

The quiet afterward...yep, that's good for the soul, too!

Lookin' all relaxed and kicked back...must be from all that home cooking and sweet tea I presume! If they want more good food, I can vouch for Margie - she'll treat them all like royality - she can't seem to get enough of being good to people! Gotta love her gift of giving!
Meanwhile ~ time for you to enjoy the quiet, at least for the moment!!

That all sounds fun - lovely to see Jeff again and his girl. Pork chops on porch! If only I'd been there. Sigh. Yep, know what you mean about peace and quiet in the aftermath too. Enjoy

Glad you had time with your son, his girl friend and your family ... my company is arriving today (son) and my parents on Wednesday. Hope to slow down around here and pretend I'm on vacation with them. Work can wait, eh?

I love the photo - what a pretty, green place. And enjoy the quiet. I cherish quiet. It's rare any more but I'm thinking after a crazy weekend (birthday party for Krissy combined with going away party for Mandy and Aaron) Monday is going to be total bliss. Factor in that Rob has a job to get up and go to Monday morning, and I know for sure Monday is going to FINALLY be quiet. LOL
