The Harness

Its a lovely sunny 75 today....I spent the morning driving for, oh say 2 hours, back and forth through the countryside to the college campus where my daughter had to register and get her schedule etc...my sun roof was open people, things are blooming everywhere...I felt happy and excited for her...I felt free... like the wind blowing in my open windows...and bright... like the sun....What a lovely morning! the world was ours...and mine specifically....
Then it happened....upon entering my office parking deck.... I had the distinct impression of a harness slipping over my head....

I DON"T WANNA GO TO WORK!!

On a happier note...my daughter is safely enrolled in school...classes begin April 3rd! Yea!
My son is home from tour...I will see him in less than 2 weeks! Yea!...
He has something called a Skype phone?? anyone have a clue what that is??
I spent last nite with my sis as she traveled through GA and I will see her again on Friday as she returns through GA. Yea!

Now as for 24....Just WHO is the leak???

I know what you mean. I can't stand being inside when it's nice out. Even if I'm not "doing" anything, I just have to be OUT!

I have no idea what a skype phone is? A satellite phone?

Glad you're feeling better.

(Did I mention that I hate this new and "improved" blogger? It took at least 3 tries for me to be able to leave a comment!)

A Skype phone? Well, Skype is a free down loadable program for your computer that allows you to talk to anyone anywhere for FREE. All you need is a microphone. Maybe that's what he has?

I'm glad he's back and that your dot is enrolled in school.

I too hate that harness slipping over my head. Sometimes it feels like I'm also tied to my desk---but not for long, in July it's all over and I'll be free!
You sound like one happy momma - daughter in school, son on his way to visit with his skype phone, let me know what that is, ok? Touched base with sis - can it get any better...oh yah, 75 degrees! I think you have a lot to smile about!

Lovely to see the two sisters together!! I have a sister too, who I am close to, so I know how that feels. First day of Autumn for us yesterday. Can't say I'm ready to see the end of summer, but for a while both of our temperatures are the same!

Would I be cruel in saying that I am rather envious of you today - the freedom and the open roads.

I was confined indoors awaiting heating contractors to instal a new boiler and whatever else they decided to do - including leaving a mess from room to room -

anyone for housework??

Luv the "Journal" and delighted (sincerely) that you have had a great day.

I sure do know what you mean about the not wanting to go to work. Like you said on my blog a few weeks back, we'll each pray for the other about these similar desires about leaving our respective careers..... I'm praying that our Father will lead you to His perfect plan and design for you and that you will clearly hear His voice about where, when, how etc. ..it's going to be good!

I am happy for you. That is just the kind of day we all need right about now. Isn't today the first day of Spring? We woke up to gloomy skies and it instantly assaulted my mood.
You two are a vision of lovliness. I was thinking about you today and hoping you were feeling better - looks like you are well on your way.I can so relate on the work thing. I had a 7x7 glass window in my office and except when watching the local crop duster defy death, I was always looking for ways to escape. Enjoy this time, my friend, enjoy.

I think it's time for a new job, ma'dear. Wish I could expect a visit from some family member soon, like you do...seriously, we'd settle for anyone! Glad school's off and rollin and glad bro's back. He seems happier everytime these tours end. Wonder how much longer this will go on...
