Well, not exactly the morning after...but you get the point. :) the shopping, cooking, wrapping, eating, and gift giving is over, I'm back at work(boo), the kids are all on their ways back to their respective abodes..love, love, love this time with my family but now....time to chill out! That's what I love about New Year's. I don't owe it to anyone, I'm not responsible for anything, I don't have to do anything or go anywhere...its a free holiday! And because it falls on the weekend...I get Monday off too! Yeaah!
Plans?? well...we'll probably go out to dinner on Sat. and maybe a movie, I have an awesome book lined up to read since the house will be very quiet with even Bek gone to see her Navy boy, and perhaps a trip to our Gerogia mountians on Monday...just for fun. Hubby is off too so we may just ride up there and cruise around. Oh yeah, I do have to take the Christmas decorations down...hate that part.... :)
So what are your plans for the New Year's Holiday?

Merry Chrismas! I noticed you stopped by my blog a few times and wanted to stop by and say hi!
I have enjoyed your blogsite :)
I am with you on the - after Holidays....just chilling out and reading a good book...my dear husband bought me a book by Susan May Warren...called "In Sheep's Clothing"...and I have stayed in jammies and sat by the fire and read for a few hours today - what a treat!!
Blessings to you and your family! And hope you enjoy just chillin' and reading your new book.
Glad to hear you're looking forward to the "free" days ahead. It is somewhat refreshing after all the hustle and bustle, yet somewhat stressful trying to get back to "normal" life (whatever that is LOL), after two months of rushing, buying, etc.
Yes, the first pic on the "washable but not plastic" post is me, and the second one is me and my oldest daughter. The others are just a mix of other family and friends. And thanks for the great compliment.
So glad you stopped by and I hope you have a most wonderful New Year!
Blessings!
the book (s) look interesting...what are they about? happy new year!
No plans for new years eve. We usually stay in. It's too brutal to have to wake up at 6am if we go out, ya know???
Ooh, have a happy restful New Years!
We'll be partying with the church here, of course! :)
Sounds like lots of us are chillin for the weekend. :)
Bek,
the books are, in my opinion, the Thoene's best. They are a fictional rendering of the years of Jesus' ministry and maybe beyond to the birth of the church but not what you're thinking...:) they are called the AD Chronicles and #4 came out recently.(the one I'll be reading) Awesome reading! Similiar to The Mark of the Lion series by Francine Rivers but set in Jesus' lifetime rather than the early church. They make scripture come to life. Check em out.
Cheryl,
Happy New Year.....Enjoy the peace and quiet.
We are going to northern MN for the new year so more family stuff for us. The one good thing for me, is I am off next week, yeah.....
Take care,
Mary
Love the picture! Yes, I am happy that the ho ho ho is over and I am excited for another year to begin here. We flew into Jacksonville on Christmas day to be with Missy and her 5 chillun, after being with the other kids on Christmas eve. It was very fun but now I am kindof tired and will start to undress the little tree and put away the lights for another year. Cheryl, have you read the Francine River series about Rome during the time of Caesar. Can't remember the titles but they are fascinating.(What are they Sarah?) I love Bodie's books too. Have fun relaxing! At the moment I am reading a series about Napoleon's wife Josephine. Happy New Year!
My plan is to have no plan at all, and that's just how daddy likes it. I hope you enjoy curling up with your book. I will probably do the same.
thank you so much for your prayers. that means a lot to us. may God bless you and keep you always.
