Hi ya'll

Its already the end of January and I find I haven't posted here in weeks. Here's a little update for those of you who don't get out to Facebook to see me. :)
I am up on my feet again and back at work although I am still wearing a small boot on my foot. It has been rather bothersome these last two days but is healing well.
Jbear is back in school and already eager for her next holiday off....she is doing second grade work and still getting into some trouble now and then from distraction and boredom....she is also excited about the arrival of her new baby brother, due in Feb.(on her daddy's side).
My daughter K is thinking of expanding her education and trying to decide which way to go with that. She isn't too thrilled with her job and would like to someday move out of her parents house.
My hubby is exploring new business opportunities and still battling health issues...some of which have resurfaced in the last month. Please keep him in your prayers...we/he needs them!

I have recently been made aware of Ps. 103:4-5
He redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.

I don't think anyone under the age of 50 can really appreciate this, do you?
By this age you can recognize the pits you have been redeemed from...you can experience more love and compassion than you ever imagined and realize, with a much different perspective, all the blessings God has bestowed on you...plus...
....you can only have youth renewed if it has been lost already...just think,
....You can soar...again...and this time..really appreciate it!

There are blessings to be had for those of us who have been around for a while.

Happy New Year, everyone...especially all you Eagles!

Hi yourself!

DD amd I have been talking about being young and stupid, No one can tell you anything, you know it ALL. She is starting to see hwo this whole growing up thing works. By the time you have a few years under your belt, you wake up and find out you are not invincible and God has surely been protecting you to this point.
There are certainly some soar days and I try to do that when I see them coming my way - slow learner, still don't see them until they could bite me in the face.
Glad JB is doing well and hope DD finds what she is looking for. I didn't until I quit work - have never been happier. each to their own. Love ya Girl!

Dear Cheryl,
Good to hear some news from you.
My friend Turid always says, " A mother never feels better than her children do."
If yours are fairly well (grandchildren included), I think you'll cope.
Of course I'll remember you in prayer.
I'll share the Psalm of David which came to me this morning,

Psalm 40
For the director of music. Of David. A psalm.
1 I waited patiently for the LORD;
he turned to me and heard my cry.

2 He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
out of the mud and mire;
he set my feet on a rock
and gave me a firm place to stand.

3 He put a new song in my mouth,
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear
and put their trust in the LORD.

One of the reasons that Beth Moore's book,
"Get Out Of That Pit" has been so life-changing for me!

Why is that by the time you get a handle on this life thing, you start getting too old & decrepid to get out and do stuff!? ha ha!

Still, I wouldn't exchange one life's lesson I have learned (some very painfully) for the wisdom and insight God is giving me!

I was unaware that you hurt yourself...sounds like we both had a rough end to 2009. Here's to hoping 2010 is much better for you and your family!

I know what you mean! Just dropping off a hug and hello, praying for you and hubby! Hope your foot is healing well. It must be a royal pain dragging a boot around, making sure not to let anything hit it.

We're waiting for R.'s cancer check-up results, and also received news that a dear old friend has only a couple months to live. God is really good in spite of our nearsightedness but I've recently thought about how nice it'd be to wake up in heaven like my friend, Amy, did not long ago. I do miss her.

Hope we can meet up for coffee some day soon. I have so many questions for you!! {hugs}

I can't think of a crown more beautiful then one made of love and compassion. I'm ready to soar like the Eagles...in spirit at the very least!
Hope your foot is doing well...I got my boot off today, but now my foot is very sore on the bottom. Time...it just takes time.

Cheryl,
I'm not 50 yet, but I do love that passage.

It was fun chatting with you on FB the other night.

Hugs from Ohio!
