Shade

I love the shade on a very hot day...flowers swaying and scenting the air....cool breezes...green grass....low hanging branches...birds twittering.....I love it...

I love the shade...
* on my deck before 10 am and after 4pm with its pots of impatiens overflowing and gardenia bush blooming
* on my front porch after 4pm...with the wind chimes tinkling...and rocker rocking
* in the park outside my office...any time...quiet, breezy, flowers, trees, water flowing(sometimes when there is no drought in GA)...

Its 88 degrees today...a good day for shade....

Oh I love the SUN! On a cold frosty day when the faint warmth starts up at 10am and you can sit out at midday on your porch and soak it up without worry. When your fingers are blue and you go out to do the washing and at last with the final peg on the line you can feel them again.
SWAP you for a while?

Amen sister! Too bad down here, sitting in the shade doesn't eliminate the humidity! We have a small window for enjoying the outdoors in the Springtime. Of course our Winters are envied by most!

We could use some of your warm weather! It's rainy and cool here today - 57 degrees. Kind of cool for June.... We're headed for Florida in two weeks - we should get our share of heat then and we'll be hunting for shade!

Have been in full sun the last few days for end of the year school pool parties and about ready to melt and it is barely June.
Reminds me of being out in the world and needing the shade of Christ. A place to regroup, cool down and refocus
Tomorrow is a calm day for me and I intend to use it all up. Thanks my friend for the reminder!

I love the sun, but I like the shade too, sometimes we need to escape!

Oh, and one more thing...
I just went back to read again your post on "When We All Get To Heaven"... I wanted to mention how it touched my heart. I don't know how I missed commenting on it the first time - except that I was so lost in thoughts of Heaven at the time that I was carried away....

Thanks for sharing your heart!

Awwww shade. I love it too. We had a electric roll up awning put over our patio last summer...now I can actually sit out there when the sun is blazing!

I'm longing for the days when shadows are the perfect place to be.
The pictures with the intricate Japanese looking garden, is a dream..
Our reality is having dinner at the terrace wrapped in eiderdown quilts!
Ah, summer it is north or south.
Let's enjoy the light and the flowers
where we have chosen to live!
