Progressive Party

My neighborhood association is planning a Progressive Dinner Party for the holidays. Won't that be fun?!?
...and in case you don't know what that is, here is a description I found on line.

"If you're looking for a way to socialize that requires little work or expense and that keeps the party moving all night, then a Progressive Dinner Party may hold the answer for you. At a Progressive Dinner a group of friends plan a meal together where each course is served at a different participant's home, so that the party literally moves from place to place throughout the evening.
This party style works especially well for friends who live close to one another either in a neighborhood, an apartment building or a condo complex. Then everyone can walk from home to home without worrying about organizing cars and designated drivers. It also facilitates digesting between courses!"

We were planning on doing this in the neighborhood as the church... but life goes on and the plans pass by.
Thanks for the reminder. You are terrific at that.
In Him with you,

After attending Neighbor's birthday party this summer, it is highly unlikely that we could ever make that leap but it does make me smile at the thought of it.

Not sure I will ever get the images of some of his gifts out of my head... I hope for better luck for you!

Is there any limit on the time between courses? Because you could have dessert at my place if you like!

I've been a part of one of these before. It was so much fun. What a great thing to do this holiday season.

I've never participated in a progressive party, Cheryl, but I can see how they'd be a lot easier on everyone AND a lot of fun!

I participated in a progressive dinner waaaay back when I was a teenager - our youth group did it. It was so much fun. Which course will you be serving?
Have fun!

What a great way to socialize with the neighbors! Our church used to have progressive dinners that ended with a white elephant gift exchange. Hubby got a pair of anti-gravity boots to hang upside down ... have a great time.
