It is resonating with me this morning that the things He has asked of us are doable...even easy...we do because ...we can...He has made the way...He IS the Way.....

My God And I
We walk here hand in hand
He walks with me, I follow
I do, because I can
For Jesus opened up the way
His blood was shed for me
So God can look upon my heart
And only Jesus see
Now I can go into my Father
And He can be with me
For Jesus took away my sin
And nailed it to the tree
Now I am of heaven
God sees my heart as pure
With Jesus as my cover
My salvation is secure
And that is why I'm confident
God said if we believe
Then we have passed from death to life
And live eternally
So, my God and I are one
We walk here hand in hand
Each day I'm walking in His love

Just in case anyone was wondering....I want to add that "I can" has NOTHING to do with me....to my thinking it refers only to enablement, to being allowed, to HIS empowerment....without HIM I can do NOTHING... I am the least and the weakest and the poorest Christ follower on the planet.

and somedays, it seems so easy. Had 2 big answers to prayer today which makes it easy - its those Other times, that it diesn't make sense makes it more difficult for me to see that I can. I think that may always be a struggle this side of heaven. Hope you have a great day - I am going out with a friend and my camera. Toodles!

Thank you Cheryl. On my perpetual calendar today was a verse from the message Bible: "God does not respond to what we do; we respond to what he does. We've finally figured it out. Our lives get in step with God and all others by letting him set the pace, not by proudly or anxiously trying to run the parade." Romans 3:27-28. It's so good to be reminded that it's him and not us!

Ah, lovely pic. And what you say is so true. He enables us. Those times (just recently, in fact) that I wonder how I ever came through a situation, wasn't borne out of my own strength anyway--He brought me through. He enabled.
